Claims Management & Dispute Resolution
We are your dedicated experts, always prepared to strategically manage the analysis, preparation, negotiation, and resolution of complex construction claims.
Construction projects often give rise to claims which, if not addressed early, can develop into complex and costly disputes. At KQI, we provide integrated support covering the full claims and dispute process, from early event assessment through to formal resolution. By combining contractual expertise, commercial understanding, and forensic analysis, we help clients establish entitlement, prepare well-supported claims, and implement effective pre-dispute strategies, protecting their position and supporting them through negotiation, adjudication, arbitration, or litigation.
How it works
Our team prepares and evaluates claims with a structured approach that aligns contractual entitlement, factual records, and technical evidence. Whether advancing a contractor claim or defending an employer, we ensure positions are clear, credible, and supported by robust analysis.
What we do
-
Identify relevant events and circumstances impacting time, cost, or performance.
-
Assess liability based on contractual obligations, factual records, and risk allocation.
-
Establish contractual entitlement and define the basis of the claim.
-
Verify compliance with contractual procedures.
-
Demonstrate causation by linking events to their measurable impacts.
-
Prepare a fully substantiated claim report with narrative, evidence, records, and supporting documents.
How it works
Our quantum specialists undertake detailed evaluation and assessment of the monetary aspects of construction claims such as delays, changes in scope, additional work, or unforeseen conditions.
What we do
-
Identify contractual entitlement to recover cost and/or value.

How it works
We analyse programme delay and disruption using recognised critical path methodologies to determine time entitlement and establish clear causal links between events and their impact on project outcomes. The chosen methodology depends on the contract requirements, the stage of the project, and the intended purpose of the analysis, but is always aligned with local best practice and relevant industry standards.
What we do
- Review and audit of contemporary programmes.
