Insurance Claim for Hydroelectric Plant, Morocco
KQI was engaged by a loss adjuster to provide quantity surveying services following a stormwater inundation event affecting a hydroelectric plant in Morocco. Our task was to review and verify the claimed quantum of EUR 5 million. Our team undertook a detailed review of all supporting quantum documentation, liaised with both the insured and the loss adjuster, and delivered a comprehensive independent quantum assessment to support the verification process.
Contract and Commercial Management Services for Industrial Plant in the United Kingdom
KQI was appointed by the Employer to provide commercial and contract management services for a new £100 million industrial plant in the UK. Our scope covered the management of approximately 30 contracts, ranging from land sale agreements to two prime contracts under JCT DB 2016 and a bespoke EPC arrangement, as well as consultant appointments including the Principal Contractor and Designer. We provided full commercial support across the project lifecycle, leading the tendering and bidder selection process, supporting contract finalisation, and managing contract administration during execution, including changes, notices, claims, and final account closure.
Claim and Dispute Advisory – Airport Project in Kuwait
KQI was appointed as Claim Consultant by a subcontractor in a wrongful termination dispute on a major airport project in Kuwait. We prepared the EUR 2 million quantum and a fully substantiated claim report, including narrative and supporting documentation. KQI initiated the settlement process and managed the ICC arbitration proceedings on behalf of the client, advising on the appointment of legal counsel and independent experts and liaising with them throughout. We oversaw the dispute process through to the completion of the hearings.
